Software Support Engineer - Ref # 01864

Description :An experienced Software Support Engineer is required for this London based client. The role will involve providing technical support (mostly by telephone) to NHS clients and liaising closely with the in-house developers to ensure project signoff, rollout and ongoing support. You will be working with specialist software that deals with clinical processes such as GP to GP handovers or discharge summaries created by doctors or pharmacists in NHS Trusts. Our client's software increases efficiency and provides cost savings when producing documentation from Trusts to GPs and patients to facilitate national guidelines regarding patient related processes. The ideal candidate will be from an NHS background and will have an understanding of PAS systems and the use of HL7 communication language. You will also need a good understanding of SQL along with a good grounding in projects and technical rollouts of software in the NHS. Experience with Web applications would also be advantageous. This is a permanent position based at our client's offices in Central London but will involve some travel to NHS Trusts across the country when needed. Our client is a small, private business that caters to the NHS market. They are already market leaders in providing digital dictation and voice recognition solutions. The new offering is a Clinical Toolkit that manages Electronic Discharge Summaries (EDS), Dr to Dr patient handovers etc. There are good opportunities for career growth in this sector.
