Service Desk Operator / 1st Line Support - Ref # 02304

Description :Experienced service desk operator required with a strong knowledge of • Windows XP and Windows 7 • Microsoft Outlook / Exchange • Office 2007 and 2010 • Active Directory user administration (mainly password changes) • Remote desktop software such as DameWare NHS experience is an advantage but not essential. You will be supporting the existing team providing first line support to the client's 4000 employees and 2,000+ PC’s. The job entails resolving or escalating incidents and logging calls on our service desk system. The service desk system has been developed internally based on ITIL standards and anyone with experience of commercial packages such as HEAT will adapt to it very quickly. The initial contract will be for four weeks but it is anticipated that it will be renewed to cover a particularly busy period through March and April. The client requires all staff, permanent and temporary, to dress smartly (no jeans, t-shirts, open sandals, trainers etc). The Trust has a very strict rule that restricts anyone from smoking on Trust property. You must be available to start no later than Monday, 30th January - interview slots available later this week.
