IT Project Manager - Ref # 01813

Description :	Our client's organisation is responsible for ensuring the continued delivery of a corporate, consistent and equitable approach to IT facilities and services to all primary care contractor professions in Wales with specific focus on supporting the new and existing ‘contractual’ IM&T requirements (both clinical and administrative) for General Medical Services and Community Pharmacy, whilst ensuring alignment and integration with the overall strategic IM&T direction for NHS Wales. We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Technical Project (Support) Manager to join our Primary Care Informatics team on a temporary basis (3 months initially). The candidate will be required to provide project management and project support on the delivery of the Welsh Electronic Transfer of Prescriptions (ETP) – Community Pharmacy Project. This will specifically involve: • Producing high quality project documentation; • Supporting the Programme Manger in liaising with external IT suppliers to monitor progress, schedule testing activities and clarify technical issues. Knowledge and experience of PRINCE2 is essential, as is an ability to understand and communicate complex issues. Knowledge of primary care is desirable.
