Infrastructure Assistant User Support Analyst - Ref # 01830

Description :Infrastructure Assistant User Support Analyst required for this major NHS client. In this varied role, you will contribute to the Informatics Department’s high quality user support service by acting as a point of contact for all queries, incidents, problems and requests, whether by telephone, email or in person. Logging requests to maintain a clear record of work, you will action the efficient and effective resolution of all issues. You will liaise with service users regarding their calls, providing them with helpful advice and information, and – where appropriate – escalate issues to external suppliers, agencies and contractors. As well as identifying and rectifying hardware, software and basic network issues, you will install and maintain hardware (including file servers, PCs and associated peripherals) and software operating systems and applications, and help to monitor the security and integrity of systems using anti-virus software, patch management and more. You will also assist in the administration of log-on credentials and undertake a wide range of operational and data administration tasks. Educated to GCSE level, with ECDL or equivalent knowledge, you have experience of working in a PC or server based environment, supporting the Microsoft Office Professional suite, and both installing and maintaining PC and peripheral hardware and software. Driven to deliver an excellent service and build good relationships with colleagues and customers, you have strong communication skills and work well under pressure.
