Head of Service - Technical Projects, Integration and Development - Ref # 01777

Description :We are seeking a Head of Service who has enthusiasm, drive and the ability to deliver to agreed timescales. The post holder will be responsible for managing, developing and supporting all aspects of the integration and interfacing functionality required by the Trust including technical projects, web developments and technical specialist services. Additionally, he/she would be required to project manage the implementation of these technical developments as the Trust progresses towards the creation of the National Care Record Service and would take responsibility for the development and technical support of in-house software including legacy systems . Experience of achieving objectives when working within a complex organisation and in dealing with change management is required together with the ability to provide advice and support in database design and use, data management/manipulation and the use of data extract tools is also required. Essential experience *A practical understanding of the national NHS information strategy and implications at local level. *Extensive experience of health informatics staff management *Substantive experience of project planning using a structured methodology e.g. PRINCE and contribution/production of IT business cases and relevant project documentation *NHS experience /working relationships with clinicians and management *Substantive experience in Microsoft VB, Access, SQL Server, JCAPS, Java programming and indepth knowledge of Integration engine software development and HL7 experience.
