To all at Max20,
As you may know I will be leaving my post next week for a permanent role. Before I leave I would like to express my thanks to you for helping me and giving me the opportunity to show my employers at Merseycare that I could deliver a good service to them. So I have written the following testimonial if you wish to include it in your website:-
When I applied for an IT contract at the NHS I was apprehensive and uncertain at first. I had just returned from contracting abroad where I had to deal with unfit conditions and delayed payments. So I was concerned that being a contractor sometimes meant having to put up with more uncertainty and difficulties in the workplace than being permanent. However any prejudices and worries I had were eventually allayed by the staff at Max20 and my experience working in the role they for secured me in Merseycare's IT dept.
My first contact from Max20 after my application was a phone call from Nicky who was courteous, informative and supportive. She explained everything I needed to know about the role, contracting, getting setup with an umbrella company and sent me emails containing all the information I needed. Her professional and considerate approach immediately set the tone for what was to become a pleasant work experience. From this initial encounter I instinctively knew that I had made the right decision applying for the role through Max20. Their support and constant guidance throughout my contract has made my work role a lot less stressful and demanding compared to previous contracts I had experienced.
I was initially concerned that paperwork would be complicated and would hinder my payments. However I was pleasantly surprised how simple and straightforward the process was and my payments were always on time. This allowed me to concentrate more on my job rather than worry about paperwork. This in turn worked mutually in our favour as my contract was extended by another month. It was a pleasant surprise as I was not expecting it. I was then given a project which would take me possibly another month but was concerned that it would end sooner than expected.
A week before the contract was to end I received a phone call from Nicky at Max20 asking how things were progressing. She was calling to reassure me that she knew my contract had a week to expire and would check in advance on my behalf if it was getting extended again. I must admit I felt awkward asking my manager directly if my contract was to be extended. Yet again through Max20's excellent service shown here I was informed that my contract was being extended again and since then I have had the contact extended for a further 3 months.
So Max20 have shown time and time again during the course of my contract that they are constantly reviewing situations and seeking the best services they can offer their contractors. As well as Nicky's excellent pursuit of service, the rest of the staff at Max20 including Laura, Don and Carol have also been extremely helpful.
I have talked to some other contractors in other industries about recruiters and they were surprised when I informed them of my experience with Max20. They wondered why they were not offered the same level of service. I can see why the NHS, being one of the biggest employers in Europe use Max20 as their recruiters. Without Max20's assistance through my time at the NHS I would not have got as far as I could. I would highly recommend any contractor to make use of their excellent and dependable service.
