| Candidate Profile : | In the course of my career I have gained experience in various areas of Project Management, administration and the implementation of computer systems in these functions. From setting up and designing databases and spreadsheets to creating new ways of working in the department, I have always been a contributor to the advancement of the area or process that I am involved in making myself a valuable and productive member of the teams I have worked with. Working for the NHS has given me experience of the issues that affect healthcare and the different systems that are required to monitor, maintain and resolve them. From being a user of PAMS and PAS systems to working with the information and ITS departments I have been involved at all levels of IT in a secondary care environment which has even more links with primary care than ever before. Having now worked for the NHS Information Authority I have come into contact with the top end of healthcare networks and the computer systems and the suppliers used in this environment e.g. EMIS, Torex, & First DataBank. I have good links with NPfIT having worked with them on the GP2GP, PRIMIS, SNOMED CT and dm+d projects as components of the NCRS. My project management skills have been increased and honed having worked with experienced project managers. With the new environment of EPR’s and the national data spine, I believe, that the NHS has many exciting challenges ahead and I know that this role provides a position that would be at the forefront of these changes in the primary care field and I know that I would be capable of being successful in achieving the requirements. Key Skills • PRINCE2 qualified. • 6 years of administration experience. • Fully computer literate including; MS Office (especially Excel and Access), 8 versions of IBM AS400 and use of MS Project2000 and Visio10. • 17 months of telecommunications.
