| Candidate Profile : | A resourceful and flexible pharmacist practitioner with an information background. Current consultancy work is centred on the NHS as a whole with information communication technology (ICT) knowledge of various work streams. Recently completed a PhD in information systems (IS) and computing, and seeking to diversify pharmacy career and recent ICT successes within a primary care ICT role. Excellent understanding of key NHS stakeholder relationships and can easily bridge the cultural gap between pharmacy and hospital IT solutions, medicines management and legislation. Excels in strategy development and can assist at all levels with improving IT requirements. First-class communication skills with proven ability to assimilate and disseminate functional information to both technical and clinical staff. Has an excellent knowledge of Connecting for Health Programme and the NHS Care Records Service. Has an understanding of the patients in the NHS and the business context to support implementation of service delivery. Worked as a practitioner in the clinical domain for 13 years and has extensive knowledge of patient pathways and choice through the use of technology. Experience spans from NHS strategy and policies to local project implementation in hospitals, primary care and community services. An excellent grounding in the clinical domain and understanding of medication management, administration of drugs and prescribing in supporting wider healthcare domain delivery solutions, extending beyond the NHS.
