Candidate Profile :I currently provide a network administrator service at Princes Park Health Centre, which includes all hardware and software issues which may arise. I also administer the Emis Clinical system and maintain security, carry out upgrades and liase with Emis to ensure the smooth running of the practice IT systems on a day to day basis.

I am also part of a team responsible for the installation, support and maintenance of a wide range of hardware and software, supporting the growing population of IT Users within the Trust. The main user base is community based in Walk in Centres, Clinics and GP practices .

I am required to work closely with the Helpdesk Manager, Technical Call Manager and Help Desk staff in order to ensure that installation and maintenance procedures are carried out and completed in an accurate and timely manner, including all necessary documentation.

I also carry out Helpdesk duties which involves call taking and recording and where possible resolution over the phone.

Day to day administration of the WIN 2000 Professional/Advanced Servers

In addition I am required to act as an installation resource for IT projects of varying complexity and size.

Key Role Responsibilities:

· In conjunction with the Network Manager and IT Systems Manager I provide LAN & WAN support including WIN 2000 Professional/Advanced Servers & Terminal Server Editions, Citrix Metaframe and Windows 98/2000 desktop

· Installation and Support of IT hardware. This includes Standard PC’s, Laptops and a wide variety of printers and on occasions the installation of specialist devices such as document scanning equipment and other peripherals.

· Maintenance and Support of hardware equipment including the removal and management of replaced equipment, recycling components wherever possible. Managing the disposal of data media to appropriate data security standards and disposal of equipment to appropriate environmental standards.

· The installation, Support and upgrade of software as appropriate to Trust policy and user requirements.
